Delete your FitCalorie account
How to delete your FitCalorie account and what happens to your data.
1. Delete your account in the FitCalorie app
You can permanently delete your FitCalorie account at any time from inside the app:
- Open FitCalorie and sign in.
- Tap Settings in the bottom tab bar.
- Scroll to the Account Actions section.
- Tap Delete account.
- On the Delete account prompt, tap Delete my account.
- On the Are you sure? prompt, tap Yes, delete permanently.
- Confirm your identity. If your account has a password, enter it. If you sign in only with Google or Apple, complete a fresh Google or Apple sign-in.
FitCalorie asks for this identity check because an open session on its own is not treated as proof of ownership for an irreversible action. Once you confirm, your account and its account-linked records are removed from the active production database and you are signed out. There is no waiting period and no recovery step.
2. If you cannot access the app
Your FitCalorie account is stored on FitCalorie's servers, so deleting or uninstalling the app from your device does not delete your account. If you can still sign in, use the steps above — reinstall the app if you removed it, or tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen to regain access.
If you cannot access the app at all, you can request account deletion by emailing fitcalorie.app@gmail.com with the subject Account deletion request. Where possible, write from the email address associated with your FitCalorie account. FitCalorie may need to verify that the account belongs to you before processing the request.
3. What is deleted
When an account deletion completes, these account-linked records are deleted from FitCalorie's active production database:
- Account and profile — your name, email address, date of birth, height, starting weight, goal and activity level, dietary preferences, your password, and any linked Google or Apple sign-in.
- Sessions and security tokens — all active sessions, plus any outstanding password-reset or email-verification links.
- Food and nutrition records — your meal logs and the individual food entries within them, your saved meals, and your daily nutrition summaries.
- Body and activity records — your water logs, weight logs and step logs.
- Plans and training records — your diet plans, workout plans, workouts, workout session logs, set logs and exercise progression records.
- Remaining app records — your achievements, the subscription records held by FitCalorie, your coaching history, and any changes still waiting to sync from your device.
4. Custom foods you created
If you created your own custom food entries, those records are not erased. Instead, the link between the food entry and your account is permanently removed, so the entry no longer identifies you and cannot be traced back to your account. Once disconnected, the entry is not visible or reachable by any FitCalorie user, including you.
Please note that text you typed into a custom food — such as the food's name or your own notes — remains stored inside that disconnected record. If you entered personal details into those fields, account deletion does not remove them.
5. Security and audit records
A limited security record of the deletion is kept. It notes that an account deletion took place, when it took place, and an internal account identifier. That identifier is a randomly generated internal code — it is not your name, your email address, or any information you gave us.
If your account previously triggered a security protection, such as a sign-in rate limit, a log entry from that earlier moment may contain a partially masked form of your email address (shown in a form such as al*****@example.com) and the IP address involved. Entries like these are written before deletion and are not removed by it. Most accounts never generate any.
These records are retained only for legitimate security and audit purposes, including fraud prevention, abuse investigation, security monitoring and auditing. FitCalorie's default production application-log retention period is 30 days.
